The Lykke Books Newsletter

Updated: Feb 27

We bring happiness to your inbox each month!

Dear Customer:

Hello! It’s your trusty local bookstore enthusiasts, Brie & Ginny, and we’re making an appearance in your inbox. Starting now, we’ll be bringing you monthly newsletters to keep up with everything happening in the store.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Last week, we ventured to Cincinnati, OH to the American Bookseller Association’s Winter Institute. We met with some vendors, listened to a few amazing speakers, and picked up six boxes worth of Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs). Publishers provide people with ARCs so that we can read them in advance of their publication date and be ready and waiting to sell them to you when they release! Check out our Facebook page from last week and look for the live video where Ginny showed the room full of ARCs and a couple of other incredibly bookish delights from the Institute! We are so excited to put our numerous ideas into action right away, and we can’t wait to dive into our new books.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU TO KNOW

We are moving locations! Starting March 1st, we will be located in the back half of the Christmas Haus. Our hours will be:

Tuesdays from 3 pm - 7 pm

Fridays from 11 am - 7 pm

Saturdays from 10 am - 4 pm

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the incredible crew at Sweet Haven Tonics for allowing us to hold 30 pop-up shops since October. An enormous part of our mission is creating and cultivating community, and we are forever grateful for this community support.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

May 13th - 19th is our grand opening celebration! We’ll be live and in action in our brick and mortar space, located at 203 N. Minnesota St. (read the press release here).

We’ll cap off a week of fun and exciting events (stay tuned for more details!) with an event on May 19th from 4 pm - 5:30 pm featuring a trio of Minnesota authors.

Jess Lourey is the Minnesota Book Award-winning, International Thriller Award-winning, and Anthony Award winning author of over 25 books, including thrillers, women’s fiction, children’s books, and nonfiction. She has reached over a million readers. You can find out more at www.jessicalourey.com.

Kristi Belcamino is a USA Today bestselling crime fiction author, chess fanatic and coffee addict who also makes a tasty biscotti. In her former life as a newspaper crime reporter, she flew over Big Sur with the Blue Angels, raced a Dodge Viper at Laguna Seca raceway, and attended barbecues at the morgue.

Sarah Stonich is the author of the best-selling RayAnne series, with first installments Fishing and Reeling introducing the first all-women's fishing-talk show on public TV. As well, her Northern Trilogy, beginning with Vacationland and Minnesota Book Award winner Laurentian Divide endure as perennial book club favorites with Midwest readers. Much of her wardrobe is plaid.

Purchase your books from us and get them signed at the event.
